Elevate does something none of Luonto's other frames do: it converts into two beds stacked as a bunk rather than a single flat sleeping surface. The sofa is 89.75 inches wide with a fixed-upholstery profile (no loose cushions to remove), and it reads as a conventional contemporary sofa until you convert it.
The mechanism is the Bunk Bed function: two steps to open, and both beds deploy in an arm-to-arm orientation. The stacked configuration reaches 58.75 inches open height. Each bed locks into position with a dual-locking mechanism and removable keys, which matters if children are using the upper bunk. Manual operation, no power required. The bed opens arm-to-arm, which means you only need 59.75 inches of wall clearance, significantly less than a front-opening sleeper.
Each of the two beds is 30 inches wide by 74 inches long: cot size, single sleeper per bunk. Two 5-inch CertiPUR cold-cured high-density foam mattresses are built in. The unit is rated Daily Sleeper, and the weight capacity is 220 pounds per seat. This is a genuine two-person sleeping solution in a sofa that doesn't read as a bunk bed from across the room.
The frame is FSC and PEFC certified solid spruce with birch plywood, made in the EU. Lead time runs four to six weeks. Upholstery options cover over 100 fabric and leather choices through your authorized dealer.
Elevate is for households with recurring guests (or permanent residents) who need two separate sleep surfaces in the footprint of one sofa. There's nothing else in the Luonto lineup that does this. If you only need one bed, any of the cot-size sleepers will serve better; if you need two beds for two people in one piece, Elevate is the only option.
